Island Child Style is a children’s runway event featuring collections created by local, regional and international designers. This is the fourth staging of this event, which remains the first of its kind in our region.
Island Child Style joins the international stage of runway events dedicated to children’s fashion. Global cities such as Hong Kong, New York, Paris and London have long celebrated the fashion industry for children and the collective Caribbean continues to make its mark in Kingston, Jamaica!
Our child model search will discover, nurture and promote new, young Caribbean beauty and talent. Models, aged 4 to 16, will be selected to walk the runway for some 15 designer collections.
This event introduces a new dimension to Jamaica’s social and tourism sector providing opportunities for brand association, advertising and marketing efforts and personal development of talent. As an extension of Jamaica’s already-strong position as a leader in the regional fashion market, Island Child Style further cements the Caribbean as a creative and revolutionary influencer in one of the most lucrative segments in the global apparel industry.
Our children will discover their ‘next level self’ while understanding that they are capable of achieving bigger dreams and taking on new challenges. This experience introduces to your child the tenets of fun, fashion, discipline, confidence, teamwork and personal responsibility rolled into one, and coming with the most exciting and dynamic delivery styles. Our sessions will take place at the home of our exclusive destination partner – The AC Marriott Hotel in Kingston.
This comprehensive training programme for successful Island Child Style models comprises 8-10 weeks of confidence-building activities, runway coaching, etiquette instruction and key life skills, while immersed in a life-changing experience of becoming BOLD.
